One of the true natural wonders of the Olympic Peninsula—and just across the street from our home—is Dungeness Spit, a destination you won't want to miss. Eelgrass beds attract brant and other waterfowl, shorebirds forage along the tideflats, and seals, harbor porpoises, and other coastal wildlife are often spotted in the bay. No visit to the Olympic Peninsula is complete without experiencing Hurricane Ridge, the most accessible alpine destination in Olympic National Park. On a clear day, you'll be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the Olympic Mountains, the Strait of Juan de Fuca, and even Vancouver Island in the distance.

Whether you're a first-time visitor or a returning guest, the Lavender Trail is one of Sequim's signature experiences and a wonderful way to enjoy the beauty, fragrance, and hospitality of the Olympic Peninsula.

Located in the heart of historic downtown Sequim, Sunshine Cafe is one of our favorite spots for delicious Pacific Northwest comfort food and a full bar. The owners, Jackie and Alex, are our friends and neighbors, making it even more special to us.

If you stop by, we highly recommend the tacos, chicken-fried waffles, and especially the French fries—they're legendary! They're prepared over the course of 48 hours, and trust us, they're absolutely amazing! Open Fri-Sun for breakfast (9am - 2pm) and dinner (5pm to 9pm).

If you're looking for a great meal while you're in town, we highly recommend Sunshine Café—owned by our wonderful friends, Kate & Laura. Located in the heart of downtown Sequim, the café serves fresh, seasonal comfort food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner (open everyday fro 7am to 7pm), all in a warm, welcoming atmosphere with an amazing view of the Strait of Juan de Fuca.

They also feature a charming European market with specialty foods and gifts, and they're proud supporters of Ukraine, regularly donating to help Ukrainian troops. Whether you're visiting for the weekend or you're a local who hasn't stopped in yet, it's one of our favorite places to gather, relax, and enjoy a delicious meal. We hope you'll check it out!
